How To Set Folder Background Image in Windows XP and Vista?

Step 1 : Preparation

For getting started of course you will be needing one new folder. Name that folder according to your choice. Then copy your chosen image to that folder that you want to put in background.

Note: You have to note down the name of your folder which is created by you and the image which is chosen by you.

Step 2: Coding

Now create a new text document in that folder in which you are willing to set a background image. Then open it using notepad and simply copy the code given below. No matter what name you give to that text document because we’ll delete that text document later.

After pasting the above code in your notepad document successfully, simply change the “foldername” with your drive address (shown above in the address bar). Also change the “imagename.jpg” with your chosen image name. Do not forgot that you have to keep the background image as well as the notepad document in the folder which is to be personalized.

After doing the above steps carefully just save your notepad document as “Desktop.ini” to the same folder in which you have to set an image in it’s background.
