How To Remove Password From PDF Files in Windows?
Whenever, I download my bank statement in PDF they give a password-protected PDF file and they send me the password on my phone for security reasons (they told so). So, it’s better to keep them by removing their password in order to use them again entering the password.
There are lots of paid software on the internet for removing password from a PDF file. But in this tutorial, I will show you how to do in an easy way. This tutorial will guide you how to remove the password from a PDF file so that you can access them anytime without entering the password again and again. I am going to share two methods. You can use anyone depending on your comfort.
Method #1 – Remove Password From PDF Files
The software which I am going to use is installed in almost every single computer. Yes, you read it correct. I am going to use Google Chrome.
In order to remove password from a PDF file using Google Chrome, follow the steps mentioned below.
Step 1 – Open your PDF file in Google Chrome. You can do this by dragging your PDF file to Google Chrome icon.
Step 2 – Now, Google chrome will open the file, it will ask for the password. Enter the password and hit enter.
Step 3 – Once the file is opened in Google Chrome successfully, press CTRL + P. Now it will open something like this.
Step 4 – In the destination section, click on Change and click Save as PDF as shown in the image below.
Step 5 – Now, click Save >> Choose where you want to save >> Enter the file name >> Hit Enter and you’re done.
Method #2 – Remove Password From PDF Files
In this method, I will use simple software called BeCyPDFMetaEdit. This method will be good for the user who does not have Google Chrome installed in their PC. In order to remove password from PDF files using BeCyPDFMetaEdit, follow the steps mentioned below.
Step 1 – Click here and download the software.
Step 2 – Install it in your computer.
Step 3 – Once installed. Open it in your computer. Now, it will ask you to locate the password-protected PDF file.
Step 4 – Locate the password-protected file and click Open.
Step 5 – Once you do this, the software will ask you to enter the password.
Step 6 – Enter the password and click Ok. Then, it will show something like this.
Step 7 – Click on the “Save As” as shown in the image above.
Step 8 – Once you click it, it will ask you the destination where you want to save your PDF file.
Step 9 – Enter the file name and Click on Save.
Step 10 – Congratulations, you have successfully removed password from a PDF file.
So, this was all about removing the password from a PDF file using different methods. If you have Google Chrome installed in their PC, then the 1st method will work good for you. In case you do not have Google Chrome installed on your PC, you can simply follow the 2nd method.
