What To Care About Before Software Update on Android?

Software updating on android phones is one of the coolest experience I’ve ever experienced with smartphones. This is one of the super cool feature of smartphones compared to the old generation mobile phones. It’s very easy to update the current version of your Android OS. Software updation is a process of updating your smartphone’s current software. For example: We can change the current OS say Ice Cream Sandwich) to Jelly bean (Latest).

As I said, it’s always a cool experience because you’re going to experience a new software which is stuffed with more and more cool features compared to your old software. In the old times it was difficult to change the OS but now you just need a smartphone and a good internet connection to update your software from home.

In most of the cases, software updation does not make any files loss etc. but getting prepared is highly recommended because if your updation will not be successful then there is a chance for file loss.

Internet Connection

Be ready with a good internet connection. WiFi is highly recommended as it won’t break the connection. Most of the update files are small like 18MB to 150MB but while installing them if your internet sucks then everything sucks. So be ready with a good internet connection or WiFi.

BackUp Your Contacts

Contacts are our life and all our friends are very important to us. So, you should take more care of contacts. But don’t worry, follow these simple steps and back it up.

  1. Go to Contacts
  2. Click Menu
  3. BackUp Contacts
  4. Select Internal Storage

Find the backup file with “.vcf” extension. Copy the file and paste it in your Memory Card or you can try Super Backup App for backing up all your data.

Back Up all of your files including Music, Images etc. to your PC or to a memory card and remove the card from your phone. This can ensure the safety of your files.
